Artist Statement

Hi, I’m Jazmine Quintero.

As an Afro-Latina artist raised in North Carolina and currently living in Los Angeles, my creative journey is deeply rooted in my identities and cultural experiences. I draw inspiration from the tapestry of my life, channeling my emotions and traumas into my art. Painting has become a sacred space for me to express and process my deepest struggles and joys, allowing me to give voice to the stories that shape who I am.

In my artistic practice, I strive to amplify the full range of human emotions through a harmonious interplay of textures, patterns, and colors. Each stroke of the brush carries with it a profound significance, weaving together the visible and invisible sensations that fill our existence. By infusing my work with these elements, I invite viewers to create a connection, to immerse themselves in the artwork and experience its transformative power.
